Age 53 - last period at 48 - first symptoms at 50

I had IVF treatment from age 42 until 47 when we adopted my daughter. When I stopped IVF treatment, I had one last period then immediately went into perimenopause. I was living in Asia at the time and commenced bio-identical hormone replacement which I continued for around 10 years. After stopping oestrogen gel treatment, I’m still experiencing hot flushes at 64! I haven’t pursued hormone treatment since.
