Age 69 - last period at 54 - first symptoms at 47

It was a nightmare. Not just night sweats and hot flushes, but uncontrollable pain and bleeding. Ended up with a uterine ablation. I don't think I was particularly bad tempered but the heaviness of the periods meant I couldn't go out when I had one.
